Why Should We Dump Jeb ?
|
What's your favorite Jeb scam ?
Mine is the one where he "wrote a letter" to some "friends" in Washington DC on behalf of Miguel Recarey who at the time was running Miami International Hospital (MIH). Seems Miguel recruited Jeb because his name would help in getting Washington to overlook the medicare restrictions on the number of patients their hospital could take.
By getting this rule broken for Miguel, MIH was able to run thousands of medicare claims more than was legally allowed at the time - this rule was put into effect over concerns of medicare fraud. So then, take a guess what happens next. Yep - Miguel Recarey, Jeb's good friend, is able to bilk medicare for MILLIONS of dollars and then skips town as the feds are closing in.
Miguel is now in Spain, living on YOUR TAX DOLLARS - MILLIONS OF YOUR TAX DOLLARS - and that's thanks to Jeb for writing that letter to have the rule broken for his buddy Miguel, while his Daddy was the President of the the good ole boy USA.
But, you gotta love the cement plant thing - where he's promising to protect the fragile river then abruptly changes his mind and allows a cement plant to be built in the sensitive marsh lands and oh by the way, it'll also burn tons of tires - just what the migrating birds love to wake up to.
The part of this I love best is how 2 (count them TWO) days later, over $190 THOUSAND DOLLARS comes rolling into the GOP state and national coffers from the same company that just got approval to build the plant.
Talk about PAY for PLAY. Boy, you pay Jeb, you get WHATEVER you want. Clear as a bell.
Better still - the company was able to get the state to buy the land it owned at a profit of over $62,000 an ACRE !! Paid for by, you guessed it, YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK. The state worker who made the appraisal was restricted from doing the appraisal the normal way and was required to evaluate the land including "future earning potential" based on permits for logging that weren't even approved.
What about the Nigerian pump deals - where bundles of cash were all used as bribes to Nigerian officials - Jeb, a key player, helped make it all happen.
